Anamaria Martinca is an actor from Romania. She received the British Academy Television Award Best Actress award for her Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. Speaks French, German, English as well as Romanian proficiently. Her father was an actor and her mother was a violinist. The Youth Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. The year 2008 saw her honoured as an European Shooting Star" by the European Film Promotion Board. The actress's debut film, Sex Traffic won an award from the British Academy of Television, for Best Actress. She also was awarded numerous awards for her role in 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days a Romanian Art Film. She starred in Cristian Mugiu's Romanian film "4 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 days" (4 months, three weeks and 2 Days) which earned her the Palme d'Or award at Cannes Film Festival 2007. It also received two additional awards: it was awarded the Cinema Prize of French National Education System (FIPRESCI Prize) as well as the Cinema Prize. She also appeared in the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008, Marinca portrayed Yasim in BBC's five-episode The Last Enemy. Marinca was a guest on the Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven. In the feature film Fury (2014), she played Irma who was the German woman, who played Emma's aunt.
